CIFRA, Fulgar and Solvay team up for antiviral knitted collection
Warp knit seamless fabric developer CIFRA has designed a range of garments made with Q-SKIN, a yarn developed by Rhodia-Solvay Group to offer permanent anti-viral protection.
Amni Virus-Bac Off is distributed in Europe by Fulgar, which has been working with CIFRA for several seasons.
The polyamide yarn has an antiviral and antibacterial agent incorporated into its polymer matrix, which ensures it doesn’t rub or wash off, says the company, and its properties have been verified by an independent lab.
The Italian company expects layers, leggings, tops, sweaters, gloves and helmet liners could benefit from this technology, with customisation options available.
