Speciality materials provider Eastman has launched a new version of its Naia cellulosic fibre.
The new product, Naia Renew, is made from 60% wood pulp and 40% recycled waste plastic.

Eastman said the fibre can be produced at scale “to deliver sustainability without compromise”.

It described the fibre as having inherent softness and quick-drying functionality. Eastman added that it will blend well with other materials such as lyocell, modal and recycled polyester.
