Hyosung makes two new global marketing appointments
Industry veteran Claire O’Neill and established Hyosung team member Julia Nam have been appointed European marketing manager and US marketing manager, respectively, at Hyosung TNC.
UK-based Ms O’Neill joins the Seoul-headquartered fibre manufacturer from The Lycra Company, where she was most recently brand communications manager for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Previously, she was EMEA marketing segment manager for lingerie, underwear and swimwear at Invista.
Bringing her significant experience to the Hyosung team, Ms O’Neill will both work alongside the company’s European marketing specialists to manage promotional brand and retail accounts, as well as spearhead joint development and awareness-raising programmes with industry partners, a press release said.
From New York, Ms Nam will harness her 19 years of existing experience at Hyosung to identify business growth opportunities and develop customised textile products for US-based brands and retailers. Most recently, she was marketing manager for the fibre producer’s swimwear and intimates categories.
Global marketing director, Mike Simko, commented: “Claire and Julia bring enormous resources to our team. Their respective understanding of the global value chain and brand, retail and consumer needs will help us further our global position as a major textile solution provider.”
Hyosung’s global brand marketing team, together with colleagues at its in-house Fashion Design Center, aims to comprehensively support brands and retailers during the design, textile and product development and communications stages.
