Regel fibre gets Bluesign approval
Further to April's launch of recycled acrylic fibre Regel, Aditya Birla-owned manufacturer Thai Acrylic Fibre has revealed that the product has now obtained approval from Swiss textiles auditor Bluesign. 

The chemically recycled fibre, available in 1.5, 2.5 and 3.0 deniers, already meets Global Recycled Standard requirements.

Textiles business head at Aditya Birla Group, Thomas Varghese, said that the verification would strengthen the product’s sustainability credentials “and ensure our customers that any fabric made with Regel is produced responsibly", both in terms of worker safety and respect for the environment.

Approval by Bluesign forms part of the company’s wider sustainability strategy, Mr Varghese added.
