Water, energy and time savings from new process

Italian fibre producer Fulgar has worked with Swiss-German textile finishing and dyeing technology provider CHT Group to develop a new textile process.

Combining fibres from Fulgar and dyeing technology from CHT, the companies say the new process can result in finished textile products that require less water, less energy and less time, while maintaining colour solidity.

They said running the process with Fulgar’s 100% bio-based Evo yarns with CHT dyeing systems had generated a saving of 64% in water, of 50% in energy and of 50% in time compared to standard dyeing processes.

Using Fulgar’s Q-Cycle 100% recycled 6.6 mass-balanced nylon fibre generated savings of 32% in water, 33% in energy and 36% in process times.
