Bluesign has confirmed that it has now removed all chemicals containing per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) from its Bluesign Finder.

Manufacturers can use this web-based tool to make sure the chemical products they select are approved by the Switzerland-based textile chemicals certification body.

It had been phasing out PFAS from the Finder for a number of years and by July 1 this year all entries containing PFAS had been removed.

Bluesign revises the tool every year. Its approved list currently contains around 28,000 chemical products.
