Fortune 500 status for footwear brand
Footwear brand Skechers has reported sales revenues of just over $4 billion for the first six months of 2023. This figure represents growth of 8.9% year on year.
Earlier in the year, the California-based company reported sales of $2 billion in the first quarter, a record for its quarterly results and the first time it had reached this milestone.
In the second quarter, Skechers beat the record again, with a figure of $2.01 billion.
Celebrating this success, chief executive, Robert Greenberg, said: “The second quarter marked yet another sales record and a new milestone as we made the Fortune 500 list of largest companies.”
He said this was a testament to the strength of the brand and the dedication of its people “to create, innovate and meet the footwear needs of consumers”.
