Interloop goes against the grain with record profit

Pakistan-based textiles and clothing maker Interloop has announced record profits of 20.2 billion rupees ($67 million) for the fiscal year ended June 30, an increase of 63% year on year.

Reports from inside the country attribute the increase to higher exports volumes and the depreciation of the Pakistani rupee against the US dollar.

The group's sales increased by 31% to 119.20 billion rupees.

Interloop specialises in hosiery, activewear, knitted apparel and denim.
