Intelligent yarn technology to come from Rieter-DIW deal
Textile machinery developer Rieter has won an order valued at more than $70 million from Shanghai-based spinning group Digital Intelligence World (DIW) for technology including combers and draw frames.
DIW said it had selected Rieter machinery for its stability and high productivity.
As part of the new deal, Rieter has also signed a strategic partnership with DIW to develop “intelligent yarn manufacturing technology”. The companies said this would involve using digitisation and automation to minimise conversion costs and maximise value for customers.
