Sports apparel and footwear brand Under Armour has announced that its chief executive, Stephanie Linnartz, will leave the role on April 1. She took over the leadership of the Baltimore-based sports brand at the end of February 2023.

In her place, the company’s founder, Kevin Plank, will resume the role of chief executive.

On making the announcement, Mr Plank said: “For nearly 30 years, Under Armour has focused on inspiring athletes with industry-leading, performance solutions they never knew they needed.”

He said that the company was continuing to navigate “post-pandemic consumer, industry, and brand-specific factors” and was working hard to “reconstitute our strengths”.
