Columbia Sportswear chief executive, Tim Boyle, will deliver the keynote address during the American Apparel & Footwear Association (AAFA)’s upcoming Global Supply Chain and Trade Conference from June 5 to 6, according to an announcement by the latter.

Proceedings were already scheduled to take place at the company’s headquarters in Portland, Oregon, where Mr Boyle is himself based.

The chief executive first took the reins in 1988, having joined Columbia as a University of Oregon senior following the death of his father, who had helmed the business since 1964, in 1971.

Mr Boyle was appointed president in 2020 and reassumed the responsibilities of president in 2017, after a two-year break.
