Insulation materials developer Thermore has launched a new product called Freedom. It has described this as its “most dynamic stretch insulation in five decades of innovation”.

Made from 50% post-consumer recycled polyester, Freedom offers a high-level of stretch while providing warmth. Thermore has presented it as being ideally suited to clothing for alpine sports, running, golf, fishing, hunting and cycling. 

The Milan-based company is offering the material in four levels of warmth, with fabric weights ranging from 60 to 150 grammes per square-metre. In elasticity tests, it has demonstrated enduring recovery to 100% of its pre-stretch size.

Freedom is machine-washable and can also stand up to dry-cleaning.
