Finland-based Amer Sports has reported revenues of $1.2 billion for the first quarter of 2024, an increase of 13% compared to the same period a year earlier.

Amer, which is the parent group of Arc’teryx, Salomon, Wilson, Peak Performance, and Atomic, has Chinese group Anta Sports as its controlling stakeholder.

It said its sales of technical apparel, led by Arc’teryx, had increased by 44% year on year to reach $510 million for the quarter.

Its other main categories, outdoor performance and racket sports, had mixed results. Outdoor performance, led by Salomon, increased by 6% to $400 million, while racket sports suffered a decline in revenue of 14%, reaching $273 million.

Chief executive, James Zheng, commented: “We are gaining share in the premium sports and outdoor market and are well positioned to deliver another great year in 2024.”
