Cold-water surf brand Finisterre has incorporated a repair workshop into a new store that it opened in central London in mid-May.

The Cornwall-based brand has expressed surprise at how many outdoor and sports enthusiasts “still don’t know how to repair their own gear” and has said this is something it wants to help change.

For this reason, its newest store, which is in Neal Street in Covent Garden, has its own workshop in which it will provide customers with opportunities to ask for repair advice, to book items in for repair, and to attend talks and demonstrations that will help them learn to mend clothing on their own.
