Páramo enters US market
British outdoor brand Páramo has opened up its direct-to-consumer business to the United States, through its own website and a partnership with AvantLink to manage affiliate sales.

“We are excited to bring some new and interesting high-performance, ethical, and long-lasting outerwear to the North American market. Our uniquely constructed PFAS-free garments are designed to last,” commented Páramo CEO Richard Pyne.

Páramo’s ranges are made in Columbia, in a Fair Trade certified factory that is part of the employee-owned company. The waterproof-breathable clothing is free of any PFAS chemistry, and always has been. Páramo has developed what it calls a ‘directional waterproof technology’ that it says better manages moisture to keep the body drier, even in high humidity conditions. Achieving this without using a membrane means the articles can be repaired with a needle and thread and that they don’t crunch and rustle like coated or membraned fabrics.
