Portuguese apparel manufacturer Grupo Impetus took home a Textrends award for apparel, a new category launched by ispo a few seasons back.

The award-winning product, Teempo is the result of a performance and sustainability-driven collaboration with a selection of innovative suppliers creating low-impact products and processes, the company said. These include OceanSafe’s naNea, a biodegradable polyester yarn which also has moisture management properties, StitchLock, a sewing thread which can be dissolved to facilitate recycling, developed by Swiss company Climatex. Finally, it is dyed using a biotech dyeing and fixing process devised by UK-based Colorifix.
