Growth at Lenzing as CEO calls for ‘binding standards’ on sustainability
Fibres group Lenzing has reported full-year revenues of nearly €2.7 billion for 2024, a figure that represents growth of 6% year on year.
It combined its annual review of the overall business with its 2024 sustainability report. In the publication, the group’s chief executive, Rohit Aggarwal, says the necessary technologies to help the textile industry make its production processes more sustainable “are gradually coming to market”. But he insists that little progress has been made on a global scale so far.
He says that a move towards industry-wide collaboration, “with binding standards”, will be the key to changing this.
