Performance and sustainability lead innovation at Unitex
At Performance Days earlier this month, Chinese knitter Unitex presented its newest fabrics, including Waterpass, knits made from a DWR-treated nylon yarn, and new compression fabrics featuring Hyosung’s creora elastane.

Clean cut knits, which make it possible to create raw edges that do not fray, were also on display (pictured).

The company based in Fujian prides itself on producing performance knits in the most sustainable way, using high-tech machinery powered by renewable energy. The company was established in 2012 and is a vertically integrated manufacturer with spinning, circular and warp knitting, dyeing, finishing and printing operations all housed in a single location.
