Unifi, the US-based maker of recycled polyester yarn Repreve, has launched a “linen-like” yarn made with 30% textile-to-textile recycled materials.

Luxel captures the look and feel of linen while offering moisture-wicking, wrinkle resistance and odour control, said Unifi.

Eddie Ingle, CEO of Unifi, said: “We developed this yarn to provide designers and manufacturers with a product that delivers the premium look and tactile appeal of linen but delivering on enhanced benefits of easy care, durability and sustainability.”
