Textile machinery group Rieter is to have a new chief executive. Daniel Lippuner will assume the role on November 1, taking over from Thomas Oetterli. 

Mr Oetterli said that, with Rieter’s acquisition of filament spinning systems specialist Barmag now complete, it was to “to hand over responsibility to new hands”. He had been in the role since early 2023. 

On naming Daniel Lippuner as its new chief executive, Rieter described him as a person with broad international leadership experience and with in-depth knowledge of the textile machinery and components industry.  

Mr Lippuner is a former chief executive of the Saurer Group and was previously head of textile components at Oerlikon.
