Taiwan-based manufacturer of adidas sports shoes Apache Footwear Limited has announced that it plans to set up a manufacturing facility in the state of Andhra Pradesh, India. The company intends investing Rs5 billion ($112 million) in the plant, which will produce over one million pairs of shoes a month during the first year.

The unit will be set up in the Nellore district of the region and is set to create 30,000 jobs during the next three years.
