11/01/2006

British sports brandGola is to start producing some of its apparel in Argentina. Local company Etiqueta Negra has agreed a licensing deal with Gola to produce a range of casual clothing that will initially be sold in Argentina with a plan to gradually expand sales into other countries in the South American region.

Etiqueta Negra holds the license for Gola products in Brazil, Uruguay, Paraguay and Argentina.

It is hoped that an agreement will also be reached to sell Gola footwear ranges in Brazil through a partnership with Club Chocolate that operates a Brazilian chain similar to that run by Etiqueta Negra in Argentina.
