According to statistics, released by India’s Central Statistical Organisation, the General Index for Industrial production in India rose 6.9% in November compared with the same month in 2004. The textiles industry reported one of the highest growth rates recording a 15.9% in textile products (including wearing apparel) and 13.3% in cotton textiles.
