Nike Golf enhances counterfeit protection

Nike Golf has launched the TUV Rheinland Group's Brand Protection Service for its golf club lines. The solution provides authenticity verification as well as product track and trace features using an Internet-based system. It is said to address multiple aspects of product control, risk management, and brand protection.

"We looked at a number of suppliers. TUV's platform approach has the advantage of not locking us into any particular marking or tagging technology and it enabled us to tailor the details to match our business," said Mark Sheldon-Allen, director global supply chain, Nike Golf.
