Oxbow reduces production cycle by two weeks

13/01/2006

Textile and sportswear accessories manufacturer Oxbow is set to take two weeks out of its production cycle following its decision to implement QuestPLM (Product Lifecycle Management) business solution from Geac RunTime. The solution will allow all of the company’s divisions to use one single source of information that can be shared by everyone, and will hopefully optimise the management of processes and improve the control of its production cycles.

For its spring/summer 2006 collection, Oxbow can manage data segmentation of styles (by line, theme, market segment); descriptive and technical data (measurement table, construction instructions) specific to each style; styles schemas; illustrated variations of the various styles; and cost prices in a centralised and automated way:

The QuestPLM application is designed for brands, retailers and manufacturers in the textile and footwear industries. The application covers all the phases of the design, from the specifications of the product and technical drawings to the cost calculations of the supply chain, in particular during the pre-production process.
