The Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), in collaboration with India’s Export Promotion Bureau, will hold a ‘Sialkot-made’ sports goods exhibition in Florida, USA, on January 23-25.

SCCI senior vice-president Faisal Mehmood Khan told reporters that all of the necessary arrangements had been finalised and hoped that the exhibition would help to promote Sialkot-produced sports goods in the United States and EU markets, adding that exporters from Sialkot had the potential to explore and capture these markets by exporting high quality and diverse goods.

Pakistan’s sports goods (footballs, gloves and other items) exports rose to $19.71 million in November 2005 from $18.14 million in October, a rise of 8.64% month-on-month.
