Indian polyester producer Indo Rama Textiles has reported a 5.35% increase in its net profit to Rs3.35 crore ($758,432) for the third quarter ended December 31, 2005 compared with Rs3.18 crore recorded in the same period a year earlier. However, gross sales for the quarter declined by 11.37% to Rs96.35 crore against Rs108.72 crore in 2004. The company's net profit rose as the interest charges for the quarter fell to Rs44 lakh from Rs1.6 crore.
