Supplier of innovative fabrics for the lingerie and sportswear sectors, Nylatex Ltd, based in Long Eaton, Nottingham, UK, has announced that it will establish Nylatex China, a warp and weft knitting and fabric dyeing and finishing facility in Guangdong, Southern China. It is expected that the new facility will come on stream early 2007.

This is an extremely exciting time for our business and represents a significant investment. This will not only help secure the ongoing future of our UK business, but create exceptional growth opportunity for the new plant in Asia,” said managing director, Steve Wright.

The new facility will allow Nylatex to capitalise on its strong technical and design heritage, allowing a truly global product offer. The new factory combined with our strong textile heritage, experience and knowledge means we can seize opportunities previously closed to us,” he added.

Nylatex was previously part of the Courtaulds Textile Group of companies.
