Mountaineering and outdoor equipment and clothing company Mountain Hardwear Inc. has named B. James Bottoms to the new position of director of operations. Mr Bottoms will execute the strategic and tactical operational plans for Mountain Hardwear and will oversee the functional areas of customer service, forecasting/planning, sourcing/production, warranty/returns, management reporting and California-based warehouse operations.  He will report to Mike Wallenfels, president of the company.

Previous to starting at Mountain Hardwear in December 2005, Mr Bottoms held the position of director of global operations for Eagle Creek Inc. where he worked for four years. He has over 12 years of experience in the sewn goods industry.
