Joint venture pays off for Terrot

04/12/2008

In spite of the current economic depression and a tough market for textile machinery, Terrot has announced that a joint venture it set up two years ago with Indian partner Voltas has started to pay off.

The companies have announced an increase in textile machinery sales of 13% and have said that they fully expect further growth in the Indian market in 2009.

There are already more than 1,000 Terrot-produced circular knitting machines in operation across Indian centres of textile manufacture,
producing a wide product range of knitted fabrics.

Terrot has said it expects further success with its S296-2 machine, which it has designed specifically with the Indian market in mind.
