Textile firm puts Outlast into sheets

A Spanish textile manufacturer that is building a reputation for bringing innovation into its bedding offering has launched sheets with the built-in temperature control of Outlast.
Valencia-based Aznar Textil has said that it decided to launch the new Zazen sheets only after “exhaustive research”, after which it concluded that better thermoregulation in bed would help users enjoy a healthier sleep cycle.
Outlast’s phase change materials (PCM) technology continuously interacts with the microclimate of the human body and the environment to moderate temperature from being too hot or too cold to being just right.
For bedding applications, Aznar said it was impressed by Outlast’s ability to absorb excess heat and store it in cooler parts of the sheet, before distributing it evenly throughout the fibres of which the material is made.
