Recognition for coldblack

At the most recent edition of the Swiss Innovation Forum, held in November in Basel, Schoeller's coldblack technology was named as one of nine outstanding Swiss developments.
The award is the leading technology and innovation prize in Switzerland. It promotes innovations and presents annual awards to the country's most innovative companies and institutions.
The vision that led to coldblack was to put into outdoor garments an “invisible shield protecting the body from the negative influences of the sun”, similar to a function of the ozone layer, which absorbs UV rays and reflects infrared rays back into space.
