ispo BrandNew winners announced

The organisers of the ispo BrandNew awards have announced the names of the prize-winning companies for 2009.
The overall winner, an award sponsored by Advansa, is an ecological surfboard with a 100% recycled, waterproof polystyrene core, submitted by Canadian company Imagine.
The YKK hardware summer award goes to a German company, Bergmönch, for a combined backpack-scooter product, while the winner of the hardware winter category, sponsored by Dupont, is French ski manufacturer KAORIGIN.
In the accessories category, the winner is German company Bernd Dörr for a bag collection called Circuit Training, which uses recycled material from old gym mats and leather from used sports equipment.
French company Thonon has taken the YKK Sportswear award for its Lemanja pants and jacket collection for women sailors.
The style award, sponsored by Thermolite, has gone to Alex Masterton of San Diego, California for a collection of snowboards for women.
The winners will receive their awards at the ispo Winter exhibition in Munich in February.
