A US trade official has advised Vietnamese textile and garment manufacturers to improve the quality of their products and boost exports into the US market, as he predicted the market there would regain stability within the next six months.
David Spooner, assistant secretary of commerce for the US Import Administration, met representatives of Vietnamese textile and garment exporters in Hanoi on December 10.
Le Van Dao, vice-chairman of the Vietnam Textiles and Apparel Association, said that exporters in the Asian country should make orders for the US their top priority, in the light of Mr Spooner's prediction.
