Italian outdoor equipment brand
CAMP has focused on weight to promote three new product lines, a helmet, a backpack and a collection of gloves.

The
new helmet is called the Speed. According to the brand its light weight, 210 grammes, does nothing to detract from its ability to offer maximum protection to ski mountaineering and climbing enthusiasts. The product has numerous openings to assure an ideal airflow, features an EPS main structure with a durable polycarbonate shell, is headlamp compatible, has hyperlight webbing and a Velcro adjustable fastening system. Available also is a Front Visor, a clear flip-up visor which attaches seamlessly for extreme conditions.

The backpack to feature in CAMP’s latest product launch is the XLP 290 Evolution. At 285 grammes, the company explains that the Evolution features upgrades to its Express Evo ski carrying system and a new fast access bag for crampons. It is designed to accommodate two pairs of skis when necessary and is equipped with an isotherm sleeve for a drinking tube, attachment points for a hydration bladder and a detachable inner pocket.

Meanwhile, the G-Comp Wind gloves weigh in at 90 grammes each and are, according to Camp, ideal for competitive ski mountaineering, general mountaineering and downhill or backcountry skiing. In harsh conditions a Windmit’N can be pulled out of a pouch located on the top of the wrist and wrapped over the glove body for extra protection.
