Berghaus lands in Hong Kong

Berghaus has signed an agreement that will see the brand’s products distributed in Hong Kong. Established outdoor business RC Company has been confirmed as the exclusive Berghaus distributor for the market, with immediate effect. RC Company was founded in 2001 and is a specialist outdoor business owned by Ryan Cheng and Carmen Tsui, now employing 15 staff.
RC Company will distribute Berghaus product through its own stores, RC Outfitters, other specialist outdoor retailers, department and sports stores, and lifestyle and fashion retailers. Products from the contemporary Ator performance range and the Berghaus Griffin collaboration are being trialled in several outlets this month.
RC Company will be assisted by Berghaus Asia, also based in Hong Kong. Berghaus Asia will provide logistical, operational and marketing support, from a team that is set to grow to 20 during 2009.

Everyone at Berghaus Asia is looking forward to working with Ryan, Carmen and their team to deliver strong sales growth in the market.
“Berghaus has made major strides in Asia over the last two years. Along with the creation of Berghaus Asia, we have expanded the business in Japan, Korea, Japan and, more recently, China and Taiwan. The addition of Hong Kong to that portfolio is important and another signal that we are making excellent progress as we develop Berghaus into one of the top five outdoor brands in the world.”
