First 'truly eco' denim’s debut
19/12/2008
Paca Blues, the world's first alpaca-cotton denim fashion fabric made its world debut in Paris on December 3 and 4 at the
Denim by Premier Vision show.
Paca Blues, owned by American Alpaca Fiber Federation, LLC, working in cooperation with GFM Telas Parras with textile mills in Mexico and Italy, introduced Paca Blues to rave reviews from the industry.
Paca Blues, its owner claims, is the first truly eco-friendly denim product in the world, utilising the natural beauty and softness of alpaca fibre with cotton when dyed with natural dyes.
Alpaca fibre is natural requiring no chemical processing. Alpaca fibre is sheared annually, never harming the animal. It is a high-luster fibre, hypoallergenic and is as soft as cashmere.
