The latest issue of WSA magazine is now available

The March/April 2018 issue of WSA magazine is now available. The full e-zine can be accessed here.

This issue leads with an article that explores some of the ways brands and material suppliers are addressing the issue of plastic pollution in the world’s oceans.

Our other lead feature examines the problem of deadstock, which companies are increasingly attempting to upcycle into new products in an effort to reduce their waste.

Our second Newcomers feature focuses on Reebok’s Flexweave material, which is finding applications beyond its original use in shoes, while our dedicated footwear section brings news about the footwear products and technology on show at the ISPO exhibition.

In our Rise to the Challenge feature, we take a closer look at the It’s Great Out There Coalition, which has brought together a number of leading outdoor brands to promote outdoor pursuits and to encourage more people to get active.

Other features include a round-up of the footwear technology on show at ISPO, a profile of Chinese textile group Shandong Ruyi and an article that reveals how sports brand are trying to attract female consumers.

Our latest Game Changer is Antje von Dewitz, chief executive of German outdoor group Vaude, which continues to demonstrate an admirable commitment to helping people and the planet.

Subscribers can download the e-zine on the WSA subscribers page, and the printed edition will be out later this week.
