Oeko-tex certification for eVent fabrics

The polytetrafluorothylene (ePTFE) membranes used in GE’s eVent fabrics for apparel and footwear within the outdoor, cycling and snow sports sectors, have been awarded the Oeko-tex Standard 100 certification.

The Oeko-tex Standard 100 tests textile products for chemical substances that are believed to be harmful to human health, such as heavy metals, carcinogenic dye stuffs, pesticides, and formaldehyde.
