Bangladesh garment factories ordered to close

Nearly 800 apparel factories in Bangladesh have been closed down following inspections, according to the country’s commerce minister Tofail Ahmed. Speaking to the Bangladeshi parliament on June 20, Mr Ahmed said 790 factories have been completely or partially closed after not meeting standards on issues such as fire safety and factory security....
