Archroma develops ‘safer’ dyestuffs for sportswear

Chemicals group Archroma has created metal-free and halogen-free acid dyes which it says will answer performance textiles makers’ desire for dyeing nylon and polyester dark shades in a safer way. The group claims 80% of the outdoor and sportswear is dark, but dyestuff generally used to dye polyamide and nylon dark colours usually contain metals. ...
