Excens Sports and Lacoste Iberia alum to lead Ananas Anam

Ananas Anam, the developer behind waste pineapple-leaf-based textile materials Piñayarn and Piñatex, has named Manel Echevarria (pictured) its new chief executive.
The business’ operations span Spain, Ivory Coast, the Philippines and Bangladesh, in addition to a head office in London. Catalonia-based Mr Echevarria will lead Ananas Anam from its European research and production facilities in nearby Canet de Mar.
