Invista and Lenzing add performance to demin

Invista’s denim account manager for Southern Europe, Federica Albiero, said the company launched a study a year ago after hearing about the challenges its mill customers were facing in developing stretch cellulosic fabric. “As mills began experimenting they encountered issues such as growth, fabrics not keeping their shape, and fabric puckering due to seam slippage,” she explained.
The company blended dualFX – which combines Lycra and Lycra T400 and was introduced to the market with two years ago – with Tencel and has seen significantly improved characteristics, it said.
