The adidas Group has confirmed targets which forecast sales of EUR 17 billion and an operating margin of 11% in 2015 at its Investor Field Trip in Herzogenaurach.

Senior management shared preliminary details about its goals for 2014: sales are expected to grow at a high-single-digit currency-neutral rate with running and football as key drivers.

CEO Herbert Hainer said: “The goal of our strategic business plan Route 2015 is to prepare and transform the Group for long-term sustainable growth and success.”

However, he admitted that "after three years, we are not where we thought we would be in terms of the numbers”. The group announced a surprise profit warning in September.

Next year, footwear technology Boost will be integrated into all performance running shoes and other categories, including basketball footwear. Total Boost volumes are expected to reach 15 million pairs in 2015.

The brand expects to achieve record sales and to be the first to break through the € 2 billion sales mark with football performance products on the back of the World Cup in Brazil next summer.

A new Sport Performance retail concept called ‘Home Court’ will premiere in Beijing in January 2014.
