Lululemon supplier Eclat Textile has been named among Taiwan’s most innovative companies for 2013, in a survey of middle- and high-ranking executives in the top 5,000 enterprises in Taiwan, published by the Ministry of Economic Affairs.

Eclat manufactures flexible knit fabrics for sportswear, underwear and swimsuits, and was eighth in the top 20 list.

Earlier this year, it was dragged into yogawear brand Lululemon’s ‘sheer’ luon debacle – although the company stressed the fabric was made to the Canadian company’s specifications.

Restaurant chain Wowprime topped the ‘most innovative’ list, followed by Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing, the world's largest contract chipmaker, personal computer vendor Asustek Computer and smartphone maker HTC.
