Heads up for Ryder Cup players in Outlast-cooled caps
A cap made by New Era incorporating phase-change materials by Outlast Technologies will be worn by players during the 2014 PGA Ryder Cup golf tournament.

Outlast heat-management technology, located in the interior panel against the forehead, enables the hat to absorb, store and release excess heat to help reduce overheating and perspiration. It reacts to the user’s skin temperature to help mitigate the onset of sweating.

“We are proud to partner with a company like New Era which is always at the forefront of innovation and quality. Our technology will help keep our Ryder Cup team more comfortable so they can focus on their game,” said Outlast CEO Michael Coors.

US players will wear the in the competition played at the end of September at Gleneagles in Scotland and the companies say they will be on general sale in due course.
