3D-printed insoles help world-record holder return from injury after two years

Belgian 3D printing services provider Materialise has announced that the current women’s world record holder in the marathon, Paula Radcliffe, has used 3D-printed insoles made by its joint-venture company, RS Print, to run in a 10-kilometre race in Worcester, UK, on September 21.

This event was Paula Radcliffe’s first race in more than two years since a foot injury ruled her out of the London 2012 Olympics.

Newly founded RS Print created insoles that are customised to support the runner’s unique running style.
