Reports from Vietnam say Taiwanese investors have signed a deal for a $100 million garment and textile project in southern province of An Giang.

Asian investors have been ploughing money into the country to position themselves to take advantage of perceived benefits from the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP).

The province has granted licences to 13 foreign direct investment projects this year, with a total capital of $163.8 million.

A footwear group from Korea has also been granted a licence for a $15 million footwear facility in the region.
