Mr Confortola will spend two months climbing the Dhaulagiri peak, in Nepal, which at 8,167 metres is the world's seventh highest mountain. He will take with him barrels donated by Eurojesey (pictured) which will be donated to local sherpas after the expedition.
Eurojersey general manager Andrea Crespi said: “In Eurojesey there is no concept of an individual, only a team: everyone has to give their best to create better products. Marco Confortola will achieve his goal to get to the peak and spread a message about respect for our environment."
Marco Confortola added: "The challenge to get people respecting nature is long overdue. Any new venture needs gradual effort and that is exactly what the SensitivEcoSystem project is doing.”
