Outdoor sock manufacturer Nester Hosiery has promoted its company president, Kelly Nester, to the position of chief executive with immediate effect. Mr Nester is the nephew of founder, Marty Nester, who has been working as chief executive but will now become chairman of the board.

“We have been moving toward this change for some time and I am confident that under his leadership Nester Hosiery will continue to grow and thrive,” said Marty Nester.

Nester Hosiery was founded in 1993 and employs more than 200 people in its Mount Airy, North Carolina, facilities, where it produces socks for a large number of outdoor, performance, and lifestyle brands. In 2013 Nester Hosiery launched its own brand, Farm to Feet.

Farm to Feet socks are made with 100% US materials, including 22.5 micron merino wool, nylon and elastic. They also have compression technology from the Achilles through to the middle arch of the foot and seamless toe closures.
